About the artist

Dr. Eble (she/her) has long possessed passions for the seemingly dichotomous fields of art and medicine. As an undergraduate at Boston University, she studied fine art and human physiology with the initial goal of becoming a medical illustrator. After a significant and unexpected loss, however, she set her sights on a career that would allow her to directly impact and improve the human experience: the exquisitely meticulous and creative field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Eble went on to obtain her medical degree with high honors from Boston University and is now in her fifth year of Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Washington.

Dr. Eble's art, much like her chosen career, focuses on the study of surgical technique, anatomic relationships, and biologic processes. Using paintbrush, pencil, and digital pen, she creates illustrations that visually simplify often-complicated concepts for feature in scientific publications, presentations, and research studies. It is a hobby that brings a great deal of happiness and balance to her life, and she is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with you.
